Currently we have a Production Technician / PMF Packager opportunity at KitPackers, in our state of the art facility located in Germantown, WI.

Set up jobs and mix material. Dispense material into containers by hand or using various packaging equipment. Pack and box orders for shipment under the direction of the Premixed and Frozen (PMF) Packaging Lead. Individuals will maintain professionalism at all times, have strong customer service and verbal communication skills, be productive and quality focused, and observe safety & security procedures.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience of related industrial experience formulating or small batch blending, QC testing or other highly technical manufacturing role preferably from a custom adhesive, chemical, coatings/paint, pharmaceutical/food manufacturing or packaging/dispensing environment.
  • 2 or 4-year degree in natural science, biology, chemistry or related or equivalent training or experience preferred.
  • Must be meticulous with above average detail orientation, accuracy and follow-through with precise detailed instructions.
  • Ability to be self-directed and individually resourceful, working independently but also within the fast-paced office/production environment.
  • Proven track record of effective leadership, cooperation, communication/customer service and coaching skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic and expanding company.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Additional duties and responsibilities summarized below.

Job Requirements

  • Sets up, adjusts, operates, disassembles and cleans all packaging and mixing equipment in the PMF lab to fulfill requirements in job paperwork.
  • Operates with little to no quality incidents. Reports potential quality issues to lead personnel in a timely manner.
  • Completes job paperwork accurately and efficiently. Reads and understands special work instructions as printed within the Bill of Material (BOM) paperwork or Intelex Work Instructions. Counts and reports production quantities accurately.
  • Pre label cartridges and syringes for PMF packaging. Match paperwork to labels and ensure that the proper cartridges and labels are being used for the order.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area: inspects and verifies that equipment is clean before and after use.
  • Troubleshoots problems as they arise, provide necessary assistance to ensure that problems are resolved.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds expected production rates for equipment being used.
  • Self Directing and completes jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and actively participate in maintaining 5S within the lab.
  • Assist lead in training other packagers, demonstrating appropriate techniques and ensuring procedures are followed. Assists in KP packaging and other departments as needed.
